Welcome to the Discover Christchurch Tour, this is a must do tour for visitors to Christchurch City. This tour takes in the best of Christchurch City and it's leading attractions. We have a relaxed pace, small groups so you can ask as many questions as you like and an amazing lunch at a beautiful restaurant in the Botanic Gardens. This tour is also perfect for visitors passing through on cruise ships, we meet and greet you in Lyttelton, have a wonderful day out with you and return you to your ship later the same day.
Tours start at 0900 and finish by 1600, times can change depending on the number of guests and how many pickups we have for the tour. Airport pick up and/or drop offs are available on demand, additional charges may apply.
We take a maximum of 10 guests on each tour. We require a minimum of 3 - 4 guests to operate the tour.
We start by collecting you from your accommodation in Christchurch or from Lyttelton if you are arriving off a cruise ship or even at Christchurch Airport before a punt on the River Avon. This is a wonderful relaxing way to take in the local sights. We will take you to connect with the historic Christchurch Tramways for a ride around the city loop. We have a beautiful tapas style lunch at The Curator's House in the Botanic Gardens, this is always popular. After lunch we will go for a drive beyond the central city to Sumner and other places of interest for a good tour of the city. We will make our way over the hills to Lyttleton before heading back into the city via a stop at the Christchurch Gondola for a ride to the top of the hill, taking in the stunning views of Christchurch City and Banks Peninsula. We change the tour around on a day to day basis if the weather isn't on our side.
